Don’t miss out on the exciting culmination of the Grace Hopper Celebration! Be sure to join us for the RockIT Science Celebration.
Held at the Maryland Science Center on the Baltimore Harbor, this unique event promises to be a night to remember. Whether you’re in the mood for dessert, dancing, museum exhibits, an IMAX film, Planetarium show, or all of the above, there will be something for everyone.
Museum Exhibits
The RockIT Science Celebration is being held at the Maryland Science Center, so naturally, there will be some great exhibits to check out. The Science Center features permanent exhibits looking at dinosaurs, the human body, energy-efficient cars, space exploration, and more, and the traveling exhibit during the conference will be RACE: Are We So Different?
IMAX and Planetarium Shows
We’ve also lined up IMAX films and Planetarium shows especially for conference attendees! Be part of the action with an immersive IMAX show or take a close-up look at the night sky and wonders of space during a Planetarium show.
Systers 25th Anniversary Presentation
Did you know that this year marks the 25th anniversary of Systers, a program of the Anita Borg Institute? Systers is the oldest email listserv of technical women in computing. Systers members will be celebrating this momentous occasion as part of the RockIT Science Celebration. Join in and show your support for this community of technical women.
Dancing
What would the Grace Hopper Celebration be without a DJ and dancing? The DJ will be playing the latest songs as well as plenty of classics. Join us in our tradition of dancing the night away and celebrating technical women.
Dinner & Dessert
Have you heard about Baltimore’s fantastic dining scene? Grab a bite at any of these dining spots. But be sure to save room for dessert and coffee during the RockIT Science Celebration.

The RockIT Science Celebration is a drop-in event, so stop by anytime between 6 pm and 11 pm to take advantage of the great things we have on offer! Museum exhibits will be open exclusively for GHC attendees.

Take home a Star Map and test your new skills as you look for familiar formations in your own backyard. |
