Logistics for Platinum Government Patrons

This page lists information and deadlines to help sponsors plan for the conference. It will be updated as new information is announced, so please check back for details.

Registration

Registration passes give admission to the entire conference.  This includes the Career Fair, sessions, the awards ceremony, sponsor night, and other GHC activities.

Registration passes should be given to individuals who you want to attend the conference, as well as individuals who will staff your exhibit table.  Exhibitors do not have separate passes; they are considered conference attendees.  Please give out your passes accordingly.

Gold Government Patrons get 10 registration passes, plus additional complimentary registration passes if they are an ABI Industry Partner.

More registration passes can be purchased at the going rates.  These attendees can either register online and pay at checkout, or we can invoice you for any number of passes and increase the use of your sponsor code.

Attendees should register themselves online at www.regonline.com/ghc2010, select “General Attendee”, and enter your sponsor code when prompted.  Registration is now open and closes September 24.

Please direct questions to Rachelle Siskin.

Hotel

Visit our hotel and travel page for complete information for reservations at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.  We expect another sell-out conference, so we encourage everyone to book their rooms early.

Career Fair & Exhibit Table

This year we are adding a new Career Fair on Tuesday, September 28 from 5:00-9:00 p.m.  Sponsors are encouraged to focus their recruiting efforts during this time.

Gold Government Patrons will each be assigned their own private interview booth to use on Tuesday, September 28 from 5:00-9:00 p.m., and also on Wednesday, September 29 from 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.. Although the booths will be shut down Wednesday afternoon, you may hold interviews around the hotel during lunch hours and in the mornings/evenings ONLY IF it does not conflict with conference sessions or activities.  These will be the only permissible times for interviewing at GHC.  Interviewing at any other time during the conference is prohibited.

Each interview booth will have a 6-foot table and 4 chairs.  Sponsors are encouraged to schedule interviews before the conference with candidates from the GHC Resume Database (access begins in August).

The Job Book is now available online, and it will also be included in the conference bag for all attendees.

Sponsors will use the same exhibit table during the Career Fair as they use throughout the conference.

Gold Government Patrons will each have their own 6-foot x 30-inch draped exhibit table, two chairs, and one power strip.

See the “Registration” section above for details on passes.

Staffing the exhibit tables is not required; instead you can choose to just display materials on the table.

If you do not plan on using your exhibit table at all, please let Rachelle Siskin know immediately.

Booths are not permitted. All banners and signage must fit behind the exhibit table due to fire marshal regulations.

See the exhibit map and table assignments.

Each sponsor can ship up to 100 pounds to the hotel at no cost to store the packages.   Sponsors will be charged for storage for anything beyond 100 pounds, so please review the shipping/receiving price list.  A hotel staff person will present you with a shipping invoice at your exhibit table at the beginning of the conference if you exceed 100 pounds.

If you wish to order easels or other items from the hotel, please contact (name coming soon) to make arrangements.

We will not be using the CONNECT Project this year.

If you’d like to coordinate your printing needs with the hotel’s FedEx Kinkos business center, please contact Kurt Chambers at (404) 527-7075 or kurt.chambers@fedex.com.  See their pricing sheet.  They can print materials in advance for you to pick up when you arrive in Atlanta.  This is a nice alternative to shipping, and can be convenient for last minute needs.

Resume Clinic

The Resume Clinic takes place during the Career Fair on Tuesday, September 28 from 5:00-9:00 p.m..

This is where GHC attendees will have their resumes reviewed and critiqued by industry and academia professionals.  All discussions are one-on-one and confidential.

We are seeking representatives from our GHC sponsor companies to volunteer as resume reviewers.  This is a great opportunity to meet potential candidates, share your expertise, and offer advice.

If you are interested in participating for some of the appointments, please contact Jerri Barrett for more information.

Conference Bag

Feel free to consider this year’s conference theme, “Collaborating Across Boundaries” as you select your items (collateral piece or gift) to be included in the conference bag. We encourage you to select something earth-friendly, but this is not required.

Gold Government Patrons can include up to two small items in the bag.  You are welcome to give out additional items at your exhibit table.

Please contact Rachelle Siskin for approval of your item by August 27, and remember to avoid anything fragile, heavy, or large.

You will need to provide 2,000 items for the bag.

If you are looking for a vendor, we recommend Cathy Rossner, at Creative Marketing Group.

Items should arrive between September 8 – 22.
