What is LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is a social network designed specifically for making and maintaining professional connections. If you’re not familiar with LinkedIn, here’s a short video to explain the concept: LinkedIn in Plain English.

There are two LinkedIn groups provided for GHC participants:

• The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) group: Join more than 2,100 technical women; hiring managers; HR and staffing professionals; and other diversity champions. Read news, browse job listings and participate in discussions relevant to advancing women in technology.
• The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) group: Connect online with other attendees of GHC conferences past and present. Share conference news, find rides or roommates, or discuss how to get the most out of the conference. Membership in the ABI group is a prerequisite. Our community volunteer moderator is Ritu Arora (thanks, Ritu!).
