GHC Community: Getting Started
Participating in our online community enhances the Grace Hopper Celebration experience and helps you make connections before, during and after the conference. If you’re new to social networking and Web 2.0 communities, here are a few short video introductions to get you started:
We highly recommend reading 12 tips for safe social networking by Mitchell Ashley of Network World. It’s a nice concise summary of how to use online communities safely.
Although we offer a number of online communities for GHC, we don’t expect everyone to participate in all of them. See the Community Home page for the complete list. Pick the one(s) that are most interesting to and convenient for you. But don’t be afraid to try something new!
